Thirty Square is a young practice that is based in Mumbai and was initiated in 2017. The firm provides consultancy services in Urban Design, Architecture, Interior Design and Graphics. The practice believes in a minimal and functionally driven aesthetic approach as its core design philosophy.
The objective of the practice is to strike an ideal balance between the built and the un-built realm through an integrated approach reflecting at all scales- from Master Planing to Furniture Design.
FATEMA MASTER
Founder, M-Arch Theory & Design
Fatema Master is a Partner, Co-founder at ThirtySquare. She specialises in Architectural Design and detailing, Interior Design and graphics. After her graduation Fatema worked with Mandliwala Qutub and Associates, Mumbai. During this time she was involved with a wide range of architectural projects dealing with commercial complexes, residential township, schools, hospitals and residential bungalows. She was also involved with urban street planning of Asia's Largest redevelopment project at Bhindi Bazaar, Mumbai.
Fatema graduated from CEPT University in 2013 , Ahmedabad with a Masters degree in Theory and Design and has a bachelor’s degree from Rizvi College of Architecture (RCA), University of Mumbai. She is the recipient of the Achyut Kanvinde gold medal for excellence in overall performance.
Fatema is also an illustrator and has presented her travel stories through her illustrations in various seminars, workshops across the country. She is currently also involved with Graphics and Architectural design studio at RCA, Mumbai
SWARADA POYAREKAR
Founder, M-Arch Urban Design
Swarada Poyarekar is a Partner, Co-founder at ThirtySquare. She specializes in Tourism infrastructure, Masterplanning and Streetscape designs. Previously, she has worked as a part of the Urban Design team at Ratan J Batliboi Consultants Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, for over seven years under the guidance and mentor-ship of eminent Ar. Ratan Batliboi.
During this period she lead various collaborative teams for a wide range of urban design projects dealing with tourism development, heritage masterplans, mass housing, streetscape design, transit oriented developments, infrastructure and waterfront development across the country. Few of the notable projects in her portfolio include Master plan for the prestigious Mehrangarh Fort at Jodhpur, Jamnagar Riverfront Development and Marine Drive refurbishment- Phase II.
