The design idea was simple - to build using materials that were locally available and to preserve the architectural character of its context. Verandah spaces, overlooking balconies ,double height living were some of the key features  around which the residence was planned. The mandatory setbacks that had to be left around the design built gave us the opportunity to connect the outdoor space to the interiors of the house. Also considering, that this region has high temperatures for most part of the year, openings have been designed in a way to provide sufficient passage for natural light and ventilation but at the same time being regardful to not heat up the indoors.
